India Rank No.1 in the ICC Test Rankings as they Beat SL

I'm happy to start my first post in this home page as INDIA is #1 in the test Rankings by beating Srinlanka in the second test at Greenpark stadium in Kanpur. This is India's 100th Test Victory!!!!. Wholla!! What a way to Celebrate the no.1 spot. This was also a tribute for the 26/11 attacks on Mumbai Taj last year. Forced to follow on Srilanka were 206/8 at the Lunch. Thillan Samaraveera made a lone fight by scoring an unbeaten 78. Sreesanth made a great comeback by taking 6 wickets (5in the fist innings & 1 in the second innings). India bowled out Srilanka for 269.With this, the hosts have taken a 1-0 lead in the series and skipper MS Dhoni has kept his record of not losing a Test match streak with 9 victories under his captaincy.

India were on top through out the match & srilanka were did not seet to topy in any day's of play. First day india got off to a good start by brillaint contirbutions from Gauti & Veeru. The Delhi Duo score a 233 run partnership when sehwag was dissmissed for 131 of 122 balls. Rahul Dravid the wall scored a century & also ranked 4th in the top run getters in the test cricket after Sachin, Lara, Ponting. VVS & Yuvi 's half century contributions India got into a good score on day one,  But saw a sudden collapse at the day 2 but however scored
642/10 in 154 overs. In reply to that Srilanka got an early blow by zaheer khan (Zak) by dismissing Dilshan. But Tharanga & Sangakkara got of to a decent Start. But the comeback man Srisanth bowled so extremely well with a 5 wicket hall in the first innings & with the spinners doing the trick srilanka were restricted to follow on with the first innings score of 229 all out agains india's huge score of 642 with 413 runs behind Srilanka were under very pressure started their second innings Sreesanth this time gave an early blow by dismissing Dilshan. parttimer sehwag striked by dismissing tharanga. Sangakkara & jayawardane looked to build partnership but jayawardane was dissmissed by brilliant throw by uv for a run out. Samaraveera tried to withstand but run out of partners scoring an unbeaten 78. & Srilanka collapsed for 269 & India regesting it's 100th victory with a lead of 1-0 in the series.

India is now #1 on the Test Rankings & look forward to Grab the series 2-0 by eyeing on the third test @ Brabourne Stadium Mumbai.
